The Sycamore defense was revved up to it's max in the first half while the offense was crisp and efficient. They held the Cardinals to 19 first half points. Then, came the second half. The Cardinals offense kicked into high gear while the Sycamores struggled for every point they could muster. In the end their 19 second half points was enough to seal the victory.

The joint was rockin' and rollin' when the Sycamores and Wisconsin Green Bay hit the Hulman Center hardwood. Both teams were fired up. As the final buzzer sounded the Sycamores were on top 57-56 thanks to solid defense, tremendous effort, and a late game three point dagger from Jordan Printy, the Sycamore "Player of the Game".

The 35 points scored by the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks was the least amount of points scored against the Sycamores since the inception of the shot clock. This victory capped a 9
and 2 pre-conference schedule. Now, it's on to the thrills and excitement of Missouri Valley Conference play.

The visiting Maryville Saints brought a disciplined, deliberate, structured brand of ball to town that had the Sycamores on the ropes for much of the first half. Adjustments made over the break enabled the home team to slowly pull away and eke out a hard fought victory.
ISU played Robert Morris University in it's 2012 post-season game at Hulman Center. The Sycamores played exceptionally well in the first half. Robert Morris scored 40 second half points while holding the Sycamores to 24. Thus, the curtain closed on the 2011-2012 season..
